Wr- -- 15A Marianne Willcnbrink Vicki Lynn Wiliiams Daniel Allen Wilson Jane Marie Woehkenberg 54 Since I was a little girl, my dream was to come to United States. Then, I came with beautiful ideas about everything. The first days were difficult for me, because my mind was confused by two languages, then, I realized that I wasn t dreaming and everything was com letely different from my life in Colombia. At the same time, I knew that Ihad just begun to live the most exciting experiences in my whole life. I love your language because I think it is the most important in the world, and that is why I enjoy expressing myself with better words every day. but at the beginning it was hard. I came to Deer Park, after being in another school here in Cincin- nati, and at first, the adaptation was difficult but the teachers and classmates were so nice and helpful that they made me feel welcome from the first moments. Now that I have the opportunity I would like to thank our principal Dr. Davis, Miss Williams, all my teachers who were splendid to me, my classmates who have helped me to enjoy all my classes, and all those peo- ple that for one reason or another were nice and helpful to me. Today Ilm very sad, because I know the school year is over and maybe I am not going to see you anymore, but I hope we can meet again. My dream is almost over and I have to go home soon. It is going to be hard for me to leave my family, Mr. and Mrs. Naaman Dingess, my fan- tastic American parents who helped me to keep going after some hard moments. I always will be thankful to them, also my friends, the school and my life here. but I will never forget you. I am Colombian, hut in my heart I feel American, and in me you have a friend in my country and in my city. It is almost impossible for me to say goodbye forever, it is too sad. I will just say ilso long or glIill see you later. I love you all. Thank you! '1 Martha Ortiz, Columbia Well, I guess that the time for me to say good-bye is here. It is really sad for me because this is probably the last time that I see all my friends from Deer Park. Coming to the U.S. is an exciting experience for me in many aspects and I'm sure that these experiences will be beneficial in my future life. Since I have been at Deer Park, I have had so many experiences that I would like to share with you now: I enjoyed playing on the basketball team, being on the track team, being a member of the GAA club and AFS club. Being in chorus for Parkers of 74 was also a real thrill for me. I also had hard times, but always somebody was there to help me. Iid like to take this opportunity to thank everyone here. To Dr. Davis and my teachers thanks so much for giving me all the help that I needed. A special thanks to Miss Lockwood for being a real friend with me. I'm sure that I will miss her very much. To all my friends I will never forget all these great times that we had together. And I donit find any words to express my thanks to my family the McNeelys who I feel are my real family. We have been through both fan- tastic and frustrating times together that Pm sure I wonit ever forget, specially with my American sister. I really feel lucky to have Dianne as a sister and will cherish the beautiful memories of our relationship forever. I donlt want to say bye because that means I will never see you again. Instead I will just say ilIill see you again! Thanks. Adriana Ramirez, Mexico Adriana Ramirez YAF.U. Student from Mexico 55 56 MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED: Chuck Junin am! Vicki Jenkins. Our hopes for the future are expressed in our Senior Song. There's got to be a morning after, If we can hold on to our dreams. An old world full of love and laughter, Is what our lives have truly seemed. Oh canat you see the morning after, Itas waiting right outside these doors. Why can't we walk this path together, And reach the time weave waited for. Itts not too late, We should be giving; Only with love can we climb. IFS not too late, Not while wetre living; Lefs put our hands out in time. Therds got to be a morning after, Thatts what wetve really waited for. I know we, be there in a lifetime, And wetll escape the darkness; We wontt be searching any more. .. Shy. 2.1-1 :1 Fail! : v I 445?:
