t 'll sf A 'L'-vi ,, ,K Ig. ' .s --'fi' 'Q Seniors of Tomorrow The class of '58 established a place for themselves in the new school year by electing the following officers, Tom Schraffenberger, President, Carol Van Epps Vice-President, Earleen Pruitt, Secretary, Bill Russell, Treasurer. Our student council representatives were: Juanita Proffit, Judy O'Boyle, Julian Pasick, and Bill Russell. Eight boys made an excellent showing on the varsity football team: Don Dean, Dan King, Tom Schraggenberger Don Kissenger, Denny Rouse, Roger Holtman, Bob Long and Norm Heppner who was the only Junior letterman from '55. With equal enthusiasm they entered the basketball season by placing Dick Slater, Norm Heppner, and Tom Schraffenberger on the varsity. Next came tennis season with only four boys from our class participating: Ron Kissinger, Don Kissinger, Dan King and Denny Rouse. There were three Junior girls on the Majorette squad who added color to the half-time shows between halfs at the football and basketballs games: Nancy Becker, Lana Spicer, and Sandy Woodly. As track season approached many football players joined the track team to keep in shape for the coming season. The only returning letterman was Julian Pasick. Don Dean, Don Kissinger, Ron Kissinger, Bob Long, Denny Rouse, Tom Schraffenberger, Dan King and Norm Heppner showed good running ability. Only one Junior was on the golf team, Frank Theisen. Participation of the Juniors was seen in other clubs such as GAA, Alpha Y, Drama Guild, Chess club, Key club and National Honor Society. Many of the beautiful voices which was heard in the Glce club and Chorus belonged to the Juniors. Now we are looking forward to our final year at Deer Park High. We sincerely hope that it will be one of the best years we've ever had. lf!
