S r X ,I 0 0 -,J I-X1 SENIOR OFFICERS Wilma Pruitt, Secretaryg Barbara Stone, Treasurer, Ray Crawford, Presidemg Ron Slusser, Vice- President, mice 66444 0 and 762154 Four years ago, the present Senior Class entered Deer Park High School, embarking on a new phase of our education . We looked into the future with only a slight idea of what it held for us. Now that we are approaching the end of our preliminary training in life and looking forward to commencement, we look back and recall the many activities and occasions in which we took an active part. As Freshmen we were well represented in sports as well as various activities. Harold Eveland, Rus Waters, Ray Crawford, Bill Bradford, and Dick Helms were on the football team. John Piepmeyer and Dick Helms represented us on the reserve basketball squad . Wilma Pruitt and Don Moores were carrying on the duties of the Student Council while others were busy in G.A.A., Beta-Y, Dramatics, Chorus, Glee Club, Band, and Orchestra. At the Freshman-Sophomore Reception we were offically initiated as Freshmen . The next thing we knew we found ourselves playing the roles of Sophomores. Again we had many athletes. Rus Waters, Dave Hartke, Dick Helms, Bill Bradford, and Bill Cordell were on the football team while Bill Bradford, Ron Slusser, Ken Moore, Bill Cordell, and Don Richter were on the reserve basketball team and Dick Helms was playing on the varsity team. Bobbie Hoernschemeyer and Don Cole were our Student Council representatives.. We contributed two cute, peppy cheerleaders, Nancy Berger and Lois George. With the passing of this year came the completion of our first half of high school life but we were looking forward to the remaining half all the more. icontinued on page 25,
