61E ENNM$ The present school year has seen the inauguration of a tennis team, at Deer Park. When the call for prospective players was issued, ten boys responded. The team will have. dual matches with the other schaol teams in the league and will enter the district meet in May. We feel that Deer Park will be well represented on the clay courts. The team is under the direction of Mr. Kenneth Gillilan. GRADE? Golf assumed a spotlight this year as the majority of Mill Creek V alley League members agreed to meet in, tournament play on May 29, 1944. The school emerging as winner in this general tournament compe- tition will be adjudged league champion. This tournament on May 29, however, did not prevent a number of Mill Creek Valley League nwmbership schools, Deer Park included, from. arranging independent matches which would not a gect tournament cham- pionship decisions.
