We were under The supervision of Miss Loyles ThaT year. ln our second and Third years we had Miss Kimmel Tor our Teacher. The second year Wayne Lenhard joined us and Virginia Lewis le'FT. Doris and Dora Welch came in wiTh us in The Third grade. Our nexT Two years were well Tilled wiTh many mischievous happenings wiTh Miss Brugger as our Teacher. Virginia joined us again and Evelyn Kincaid also came in wiTh us in The TourTh grade. ln our TiTTh year we didn'T add any more To our lisT. AT The end of ThaT year Virginia again leTT us. ln The sixTh grade we began To Think ourselves quiTe grown up and im- porTanT wiTh Three diTTerenT Teachers, Miss STowe our room Teacher, Mr. Lloyd and Mr. Cosgrove. We passed from room To room Tor our diTTerenT classes. This year no one joined us eiTher. The year ended wiTh our TirsT picnic aT Loon Lake. ln The sevenTh grade Mr. Lloyd Tool: over The Tasl: of being our room Teacher. This year Floyd SiewarT came in wiTh us. NexT was The eighTh grade-we were quiTe grown up by This Time, we ThoughT. This year Helen BuTT. BeHy Lu WrighT and Horace Hand joined us. The scholasTic honors ThaT year wenT To Joyce ReiTer and Doris and Dora Welch. The year was again ended wiTh a picnic aT Loon Lake. The TirsT day of high school was exciTing Tor all of us. We were anxious To go buT yeT bashful and afraid of whaT iT had To offer. This year Twelve more joined The graduaTing class from many diTTerenT schools. They are: Irene Renner. Mary Mc6rorTy, DoroThy Brill and Lucille Tobeck, who had aTTended all eighT years aT ClayTon. Marian Inman. Norma Lindh and Vir- ginia Lewis also joined us 'From ClayTon. Ramona CompTon and Mary Lu STrong Trom Edgewood, Jesse ATwood from ForresTon, Befly FolleTT and Lois Hemler from Loon Lake. Ray Jurgens from Reardon and RoberT PeT- erson from ForresTon. We were a very large class and Tor The TirsT Time we meT in The audi- Torium To elecT officers. They were: PresidenT, Tommy ReiTer: vice presi- denT. Joyce ReiTer: secreTary, Evelyn Kincaid, and Treasurer, Dean Twid- well. Mr. Click was our adviser. Our TirsT experience was iniTiaTion. The boys wore girls' cloThes and vice versa and some appeared as comic sfrip characTers. We also puT on a program Tor The sTudenT body ThaT aHernoon. - Thaf year we didn'f fake parf in any of fhe acfivifies excepf for a few of fhe members of fhe class who 'rook a prominenf place in fhe band, also Beffy Lu Wrighf fook parf in fhe All-High Play. We were all very busy wifh algebra, Norfhwesf hisfory, home ec., or agriculfure. English and physical educafion. Due fo fhe shorfage of gas and fires we were deprived of fhe usual picnic af some lake buf we were given a play day af fhe school wifh a picnic lunch and a free show af 'rhe fheafer, which was a good subsfifufe. We enfhusiasfically sfarfed our sophomore year wifh a large and dig- nified group. Firsf we underfook fhe fask of inifiafing fhe freshmen. They were dressed as movie sfars and comic sfrip characfers. This year we elecfed officers each semesfer. Firsf semesfer officers were: Presidenf, K. Perrins: vice presidenf, Roberf Olson: secrefary, Beffy Folleff: freasurer Dora Welch. Second semesfer: Wayne Lenhard, presidenf: Evelyn Kin- caid, vice presidenf: secrefary, Joyce Reifer, and freasurer, Dora Welch. On April I9 of our sophomore year we successfully presenfed a one-acf play, Rixers lnc. Thaf same year eleven members of our class were repre- senfed in fhe band. This year ended wifh a much desired and equally suc- cessful picnic af Loon Lake. Nexf came our iunior year. We enioyed fhe fhrill of becoming upper classmen and began fo feel even more grown up. New sfudenfs enfering This year were: Augusfa Verdel, who had found if necessary fo drop school lasf year buf we were very glad she ioined us. Chuck Yoke enfered from Rosalia.
