J.V. The Fresh-Soph Basketball team for the 1966-67 had a season record of 7 wins and 18 losses. This record doesn't really give a true evaluation of the team. Due to the fact thatwe lost two sophomores to varsity competition, we were a freshman team in a sophomore league. After the loss of Stan Lape and Jim Bauer, who together were averaging about 40 points a game, we were forced to start four freshmen and one sophomore. Although this young ball club lost 12 games in a row, we lost 9 of these games by 5 points or less. This says at least one thing-- the team never quit or let down for a second. If I would make a statement about this ball club for the future Iwould say this--With all of this young experienced talent back for the season of '67 and '68,and with a record of 7 and 18 for the season of '66 and '67 we have only one Way to go--Up! .J l gf Mr, Young chalks up plays for the next game. Tom Robinson, Jerry Richardson, Jim Snyder, Joe England, Mike Schmidgall. SECOND ROW: Ray Spencer, Greg Cundiff, Tom Dossett, Ralph Mitchell, Kirby Wilkes. THIRD ROW: Mr. Young, Coachg Bob Elliot, Tom Harm, Carlyle Cumby, Randy Hess, Manager. 74
