DEDICATION This year the '67 graduating class dedicates the Toksali to a teacher who some of the students may not know personally, although they have surely heard of her many accomplishments during her years of teaching at Dee-Mack. Those of us who had her as Jr. class sponsor wonder how this year's Junior class managed during homecoming week and preparations for the Prom without her help and guidance. Because of illness, she was not able to teach this year and now will be retiring. We all wish her a happy and satisfying life of leisure after working so willingly for us, as we dedicate the '67 Toksali to Mrs. Ruth Nixon. 2

T, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE? Qgsglfl PARE SUS TEAC YGU In your lifetime you will undoubtedly hear the success or failure of certain people contri- buted to each of the above. Such things asg He was a good kid, but he got in with the wrong crowd. or No wonder he's a success. Look how rich his parents were. It is true that these four factors contribute greatly to the building of your character and influence your life to a large extent. But the person who is really responsible for your actions is you. You can be forced into situations in which you must decide which road to take, but the final choice is up to you. You are responsible--for your successes and your failures. Begin today to plan your future and to think for yourself. You can be what you want to be if you take the initiative to overcome odds that are against you and don't become a quitter. Set your goal and then work toward it, accepting other people's advice but not being swayed by it. In the future when you must answer to yourself for what you have done with your life, you will know who was responsible. Make yours a future to be proud of. The Class of 967 is proud to present the 1967 Toksali XY: rqq ' 1 L gg in gi, X .Ma W3 4 N 'EJ ' N W lf'-fi v-1
