C ASS PROPHECY From some friends in Cheyenne I learned that Dick Keyser was the president of the Catt1emen's Association. I renteda car and rode out to his farm for a talk. We discussed old times at Deemack and then he mentioned that Ron Viemont had just left for Washington. It seems that Ron was a famous criminal lawyer and was gathering information for a case he was working on. The next morning I left Cheyenne by train for Las' Vegas. On the train I found that my seat pardner was none other than Yvonne Rich. Deemack graduates sure get around. Arriving in Las Vegas I checked in at the hotel. In the evening I decided to go the gambling casino for dinner. There I found Shelby Naffziger was the manager and part owner of the casino. I thought Ihad been surprised before but this took the cake. Well Fifi, I finally made it to Hollywood, When I arrived Iwas so hungry that I headed straight for the Brown Derby. The Derby, as usual, was crowded so I had to wait for a seat. While Iwas waiting, Hollywood's greatest actor came in and took his reserved seat. I had heard a lot about Gilbert Newman but Ihad never seen him or his pictures. Fifi, this Gilbert Newman was none other than, Dave Bartlett. I was so surprised Inearly fainted. Dave, or rather Gilbert, recognized me and asked me to join him for lunch. He's making a new movie and I sure won't miss it. He gave me a pass so I could sit in on a production that the Charmers were singing in. The Charmers were Deemack's own ensemble composed of Margie Dilkey, Mary Fairchild, Judy Blair, Juanita Embry, Karen Naffziger, and -Carol Gillespie. 'I'hey sure have gone places in this world. After lunch I decided to go over to the Studio to see them in action. Ihad to go through a lot of red tape and finally I came to the last policewoman. Fifi, you'l1 never guess who it was. It was Martha Dallinger. She gave me directions and I went into the Studio. It was just marvelous seeing those girls again. After I had visited Hollywood Idecidedtogo back to good old Mackinaw. It sure was a marvelous trip. I want to make another one next year. Ihad better close before I go bankrupt buying paper. Write me soon and have fun on your trip. A Deemack Pal I
