EIGHTH GR DE Our class numbered 13 girls and 7 boys on opening day of school. During the summer we lost Carlene Lamprecht. Karen Augsburger moved here from Pekin. Sammy Daniels came from Florence Alabama September '7th to give us 21 pupils. In October Thurman Albritton moved to Peoria. Sammy Daniels left at Thanksgiving vacation. In December Peggy Williams left our class. Jerry Hardesty left us in February. Our class officers are: Presidentg Gloria Vierling, Vice-Presidentg Arlita Warrick, Secre- tary-Treasurerg Paul Hammer. Librarians are Jay Rassi and Sammy Daniel. We are looking forward to our class trip to Chicago this spring. We are planning also for the County Music Festival this spring. SEVE TH GRADE The seventh grade began the year with nine girls and ten boys. Mary Burden moved to MinierinDecember. KarenBetts was new in our class this year, having moved here from Peoria. Mrs. Hammer was home room teacher, and taught reading, spelling, language, and science. Mr. Jacobs taught geography in our room. Arithmetic was taught by Mr. Spencer. Officers for the year were: Presidentg Marilyn Drier, Vice-President: Billy Singleton, Secretarygloan Augsburger, Treasurerg Karen Betts, Librariansg Lois Wiegand and Dick Hubbard. Two of the school's cheerleaders were from our room. They were Marilyn Drier and Joan Augsburger, Most of the boys took active part in the softball and basketball games.
