Z8- Jan. Feb Mar April May Yeeeeeoowwww!! Senior pictures are here. Open up the furnace. Christmas program at Deer Creek. Music department do themselves proud in Mackinaw. What a band and chorus! In a game at Mackinaw, the Chiefs had a fairly good night in defeating Hopedale 73-45. In a typical fighting close game, .DC -M lost to Octavia by a score of 67-52. Morton seemed to be getting revenge on 'us by taking the game 54-50. Christmas vacation--Caught up on sleep--Forgot to remember I had a speech due January4 Green Valley Holiday Tournaments--Forman outplayed Deemack the first night in a heart- breaker 56-54. New Year--new resolutions. . . Happy hearts and handshakes as Tremont bows down to Deemack. Gift shots last 18 sec- onds. Score 43-42. Ouch! ! Tuberculin skin tests. Slick down hair--The government froze flash bulbs this year--No startled looks as you will notice. Yearbook pictures taken. Walloped our rival, Minier--got dumped, but hard! Results 59-40. The Chiefs knocked off the Mtistangs 70-46. Everyone pulled through the semester tests with flying colors. Ahem! Semester ends--When, I don't have to take that subject over. The Chiefs made it a good game but succumbed to Delavan by a 56 42 loss End of third six weeks Need I say more? 'P '7 ? Roanoke came here to play the Chiefs We beat them 55 44 Visiting day for the teachers to see how the other schools run their classes Teachers decide 1t's hopeless to try to change classes Melody Maids from Pekin gave us a very enjoyable program County Tournaments Washington outplayed Deemack the first night by a large margin of 73 42 Deemack oulzmanned Hopedale 59 49 The music department went to Pekin to take part in the Music Festival Washburn 49 Deemack 42 Board and faculty get together Morton there Come on, Deemack let's go in rhumba time Again there is no school L1ncoln's birthday This is becoming a habit March of Dunes Dance P T A Pancake and Sausage Supper Forman there Elghth grade skating party at Roller Gardens F H A Party Delavan there A midwinter concert held in the gym by the high school band department Father Son Banquet Christian Church Athletic Banquet was held for both grade and high school athletic teams Exchange assembly program from Washington e Juniors put on their much talked about play My Little Marg1e All school skating party Is there a doctor in the house? e circus in town? No Just the music and athletic departments' variety show The Spice of Life Good Friday No school!
