The next game tound Deephaven swamping Btoom- ington 62-38. with Arvid Dahtbtoom and Dick Lee both getting 20 points. Deephaven had to tight at! the way through their game at Eden Prairie to beat them 43-33. In their second encounter with Exeehior, Deephaven showed them their true style by trouneing them 42-29. The next game was a Ciose one with Watertown. AT- though the score at the halt was I2-l l, and at the end ot the third quarter was l5-l3, Deephaven came through in the Tast quarter to win 27-l6. in their second encounter with Chaska Deephaven came out on top with the territic seere 0t 59-30. Jim Schmid get l2 points in the tTrst quarter ct this game. There were no scares in the seeena game with Wav- :ata. Deephaven wihriing 42-29. Dick was high point man with l4 points in the next to the as: game at the centerenee season with ShaLe- DCC. Deeehaven WC ? 43-30. The East game et :he centerence season was with XVaconia at Deeohaven. The auditerium was oaeked by 6:30, and many people were turned away. The score a: the hatt was 16-15. with XVaconia ahead. The 'B team proved that they could hold their own in basketball with l3 wins and only 3 losses. The boys. as a team and as individuals. improved during the entire season. and this training should prove a great help to Coach Christ in the immediate future. The coach has high expectations ot an outstanding team next year. Many Deephavenites do not realize it, but the school possesses a natural bowl stadium in what is now the athletie field. Although the tield is still not finished. tentative plans include expansion tor an eleven man field with a cinder track around it. This project will enable Deephaven to have their own home games and perhaps night games at that. Also it would enable them to hold dual track meets with neighboring schools and also improve our own teams with practice areas. E453
