Johns The Junior class. with Mr. Millard as supervisor. spent two days on field trips. The first day they saw such places as Fort Snelling. Wold-Chamberlain field. and the Capitol. and ended with a picnic lunch at Minnehaha Falls. The second day they visited at Honey- well at the Star building. and WCCO. where Marge Stone read the commercial on Cedric Adams' Noontime News. MOTTO...V.,. UpperclassmenH Forty-three new jun- iors began a very successful year under the supervision of Miss Nina Nelson. To that very important position of president. the juniors elected John Reuben. As vice president. Patri- cia Bohl was elected. with Pete Kizer as secretary and Jim Schmid. treasurer. E243

I. How do you rate. Hans? 2. Passionate aren't we?? 3. Jump Ball!! 4. It must be interesting? 5. Bashful, Gladys? 6. Perfect equilibrium. 7. Four jills on a rock? The Sophomores really got into the spin of upperclassmen activities this year with their class parties. field trips. and other social attairs. The class was very well represented at the Junior-Senior Prom. with IS attending as guests of upperclassmen. This Class may prove to be the largest group ever to graduate from Deephaven. Because of its size the sophomore class was separated into two home rooms. The advisors were Mrs. Lessie Feichtinger and Miss Cora Ed- wards. Members of the Class sponsored a dance on December l4. atter the Watertown game. There are two very active ClubsaHThe Jills and the The Sixteensnawhich were both formed last year. The sophomores can proudly claim three of the six Cheerleaders. The class otticers are-David Bicktord. presi- dent: Marion Schmid. vice president; Betty Barnes. secretary: and Harry Holcomb. treas- urer. E253

To raise enough funds for the Junior-Senior Prom. tour successful dances were sponsored by the junior class: the Sadie Hawkins. in its hillbilly style: the Snowtlake Frolic. in its holiday atmosphere: Queen of Hearts Ball. of which Zoe Comer was the queen; and the Spring Swing Session with music turnished by Yettes. The prom was held at the Automobile Club and was really something be- yond compare. The decorations. the tlowers. and everything were just per- feet. I. Why so glum-chum? 2. Egad what a lad!! 3.
