The Sophomores really got into the spin of upperclassmen activities this year with their class parties. field trips. and other social attairs. The class was very well represented at the Junior-Senior Prom. with IS attending as guests of upperclassmen. This Class may prove to be the largest group ever to graduate from Deephaven. Because of its size the sophomore class was separated into two home rooms. The advisors were Mrs. Lessie Feichtinger and Miss Cora Ed- wards. Members of the Class sponsored a dance on December l4. atter the Watertown game. There are two very active ClubsaHThe Jills and the The Sixteensnawhich were both formed last year. The sophomores can proudly claim three of the six Cheerleaders. Besides being a day ott trom school. the trip proved to be very interesting and educational. Betty Barnes. the secretary of the sophomore class, was selected from over 7.000 other school students by the Minneapolis Star and Tribune for her many outstanding qualities in leadership. citizenship. and marked proficiency as a carrier salesman. Betty is now the proud possessor of a year's scholarship to the U. of M. or any ac credited Upper Midwest school. l. Class officers at work. 2. Such a sweet pose. 3. Ave, shut up! 4.
