Dedication . . . Mr. Peterson attended Gustavus Adolphus College. graduating in l9l I. and he proceeded to the University of Minnesota for his post-graduate work. He came to Deephaven in l9l9 to help establish the newly erected building with its l7 pupils in the high school. Besides being a capable superintendent he has acted as coach and has done a grand job of filling in during the illness of any teacher. Mr. Peterson's son and daughter have both been two very outstanding stu- dents in Deephaven and have gone on to show Deephaven's good name at the University of Minnesota. Besides his many school activities. Mr. Peterson has one of the most out- standing gardens in the community-just name a flower and he can tell you all of its habits and culture. As chief administrator of Deephaven Mr. Peterson has had to shoulder the responsibility of partially controlling the lives of hundreds of boys and girls each year. To this position he has brought the required amount of firmness tempered by a sense of humor and a sympathetic approach to the student problems. The student body and faculty sincerely appreciate the work he has done in his 28 years as superintendent. Mr. Peterson. you have been superintendent at Deephaven for 28 years. and we are proud of you. You have established a school that is a credit to you and the community. We admire you for your good sense of humor and complete fairness in dealing in student problems. We have had so many happy moments in the classrooms. and we have thoroughly enjoyed the varied auditorium pro- grams you arranged. You have been one of the staunchest supporters of our ath- letic teams. and the support is one of the reasons for their great success. When we return to Deephaven in the coming years. we shall be more conscious of your good work.
