After the first two victories, injuries and sickness took their toll on the members of the squad. We were not able to assemble the whole squad for any three games in a row. We played very good basketball against the best competition in the region. We hope to be in tip-top shape for our sectional in Peru. The loss of Leedy, Sarver, Cole, and Hoover will be felt by next year's squad. But with the return of many experienced boys, Kindig, Mawbey, Witmeyer, and Alexander the 1958-59 edition should have plenty of experience and a good nucleus to start with.

The softball team played good ball this season, but not good enough to win all of their games. The mighty Trojans won three and lost five games, They played Butler, Chili, Gilead, and Mexico. They beat Butler twice and Gilead once. They wish the team of 1958 and '59 the best of luck.
