W. We began our green freshman year with nineteen members. We elected the following people as our class officers: President - Jim Hazelrigg, Secretary Treasurer - Sherry Marquis and Class Sponsor - Miss Kester. The seniors initiated us and we were now accepted as official members of Deedsville High School. We had a bake sale at Central Murphy's in Peru. In our sophomore year we welcomed Larry Lawson. Ann Patton moved to Bunker Hill and Shirley Binkerd moved to Butler. Our class officers were: President - Carole Payne, Vice President -Janet Eilers, Secretary-Treasurer - Glenda Dickerhoff, Student Council - Jim Hazelrigg and Class Sponsor - Mr. Metzger. We had a skating party at Rock Lake Rollercade. In March we had a box social and square dance which helped increase our treasury. We welcomed Vera Awker to D.H.S, for our junior year and during our junior year Larry Lawson moved to Kirkland. We elected our class officers as follows: President - Carole Payne, Vice President - Glenda Dickerhoff, Sec- retary-Treasurer - Sherry Marquis, Student Council - Jim Hazelrigg and Class Sponsor - Mr. Shoemaker. We sponsored two skating parties during the year. In October we took part in a play with the seniors entitled, ACClDENTAL HERO . In March we had a carnival which increased our treasury very much. On April 12, 1957 we entertained the seniors at the schoolhouse with a ham supper and a film. In 1957 we climbed the steps for our final year at D,H.S, Carole Payne moved to Argos during the summer. Janie Patch joined us from Montana, making a total of nineteen in our class. We elected our class officers as follows: President - Jim Hazelrigg, Vice President - Dale Fouts, Secretary - Sherry Marquis, Treasurer - Bill Knauff, Student Council - Janie Patch and Class Sponsor - Mr. Ellers.

We had a skating party and a scrap drive the first semester which helped increase our treasury. We exceeded our goal in the selling of magazine sub- scriptions. As a result we enjoyed a ham supper given by the company. Our Baccalaurate date has been chosen as May 11, and Commencement as May 12, 1958. Our class colors are blue and white and our class flowers are. red and white roses. For our Senior trip we have decided to go by train to New York and Washington D.C, , leaving on May 18. We wish the undergrads the best of luck and we will remember that: WE HAVE CROSSED Tl-IE BAYg THE OCEAN LIES BEFORE US. 0 I, Janet Eilers, being of sound body and unsound mind, will and bequeath about '7 inches of my height to Denny A. , to Bonnie C. my bikini, I my ability to be engaged to Betty K. to Susie S. my great ability to wear tight skirts, and my seat in the Senior row to Sharon McCain. I, Sherry Lee Marquis, being of sound mind and small body will and bequeath all my yell clothes to whoever may need them next year. I will my height to Dennis T ilden. To Sharon McCain, I will my ability to go with one boy. I also will my seat in the Senior row to Joyce Miller. I, JoEl1aBa1sbaugh,. being of sound mind f PQ and body, do hereby will my ability to throw 'snow balls' to,Mr. McIntyre, unfortunately, to Mr. Martin all my low grades in Bookkeeping, to my sister, Marquita, my seat in the Senior row, and my ability to get along with the boys to Marlyn S. I, Patricia Fitzpatrick being of sound body and unsound mind, will and bequeath my seat in the Senior row to Florence Tolley, my place behind the popcorn popper to anyone who wants it, my unquenchable craze for Chevrolets to Denny Alexander.
