With its record playbook and ticket sales, it turned out to be The Best Plat. Ever! The Class of 1988 would like to e tend its gratitude to Mr. Don Parr, Mr. Mike Flanagan, Mr, ff-,cj lvlorneau, and Mr. Joe Bro- gan icf their endless dedication to the play. Witrout these four men, Peter Pan never would have left the ground. As for the cast, Sarah Kent revealed her immense talent and ability through the lead role. Greg the Hook Blaha played his part with perfection. The Lost Boys were ador- ably portrayed, as were the animals. Cindy Lawrence, Sheila O'Brien, and Chuck Raf- foni kept the audience amused with their singing, and flying, ability. Andrea Gilarde and her indians, as well as STO and his fellow mates kept the audience laughing. The innumerable amount of people in- volved with Peter Pan have proved that a play such as this can be pulled off smoothly while at the same time can pull together an entire class. Led by Junior Co-Captains Kevin Garufi and Joe Kalil as well as fellow Juniors Dave Baker, John Falvey and Charlie Clark the teams spirited and dedicated play led them to many solid wins over teams that had beaten them in years past. The Town of Dedham was run by juniors and seniors from Dedham High School. Of course, the day was a huge success. enjoyed by all involved. Students held such positions as Selectman, School Committee Member, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Library Trustee, and many more. The day's events closed with a reception in the cafeteria. The season started with a 16-12 win over Natick and was highlighted by a big win over Walpole 20-14 and an incredible defense which only let up 50 points all season. The team, led by tri- captians Mike Hurley, Tom McLeish and Jake Tighe, went on to destroy the league. They chalked up four shut-outs including a great finale on Thanksgiving Day, beating arch rival Norwood 19-O to win the championship. The team proved that 79 13 making tourney the year before was not a fluke. For this year, not only did they qualify for the state tournament and come in second in the BSL with a record of 15-3, but they also crushed Wellesley 3-O in the quarterfinals then lost to a tough Braintree squad by the same score. Marge Bohan's team of 10 seniors and 2 juniors proved that experience combined with enthusiasm makes for a great season. With 8 lettermen returning including 6 seniors and a fine crop of juniors, the season looked very promising. The league this year was labeled as a very competitive one. Each team was led by at least one dominant big man. Also the three point shot was introduced to High School Basketball this season and with the Marauders lack in height, the shot could help them. During the first half of the season the Marauders played well but were inconsistent. However they had some tough losses especially to league powers Milton and Norwood.
