Sticky-buns was our co-capt. this year, Playing full to half to wing - Mellen was the other half, Constantly ready to sing. Pansy Pine led the attack, With our uwetbackn close behind - With our flaming red-haired A.j., 'Twas the greatest forward line. Frawls was famous for her chest, And Demar for her head - Girls soccer was the best this fall, No matter what football said. Hick was fullback JH, And Brownie 42 - They kept Wellesley from scoring that day, By their uyabba-dabban moves. Rubio tried the hardest on the team, And Ellie was MVS - Beast was so photogenic, No wonder we were the best! Freshman and Lauren were new this year, t Along with machine-gun Bell - Who couldn't wait for practice, And loved it we could tell. Injuries struck our team again, Everyone had at least one - From feet to groinies to even teeth, Victims we had become. Sasquatch had a stress fracture, But Marguerite was worse - All the mis-haps that we had, Was it some kind of curse? But things grew brighter, And we were on our way - With Kathy our goalie, Improving everyday. Finishing third again this year, A record of 12-3 and one - Exited to making the tourney, The Marauders had just begun! East Bridgewater, our first rival, Left with their heads hung low - For we had beaten them 2 to 1, Wow! Had we put on a show! Duxbury had defeated us, By the famous penalty shot - This time it was us who cried, November 12th won't be forgot! History is what we are, For it was our second season - We had a blast this very long fall, And owe it to you Mr. Flanagan. People are more accepted for their color and race around here instead of who they are and what they can do, stressed Campbell. It's a matter of bad attitudes on both sides. Campbell moved to Dedham in March 1978 from Toronto. Canada where his father was previously transferred from London, England. England and Canada were different from here because everyone seemed to accept an integrated community. People around here used to treat me differently until they realized the only difference between me and them was my skin color, said Campbell. I had a hard time getting used to the worthless bigotry and grudges people exhibited. I feel very little prejudices against me now which is a lot different from my freshman year. I was only different from the others between 8:00 and 2:10. l've had people yell rude com- ments at me during school hours and then see the same person one-on-one after school and they would give me a nice big 'HeIIo, How are you'l' lf really con- fused me, My previous years in this school are behind me.
