Mrs. Winter mute, Mrs. Hooper, Mrs. Cole Mrs. Goheen COUNSELOR Office Girl Mrs. Smallwood, assistant guidance counselor Senior Class History As we took our first step up the mountain of learning, we chose our officers to lead the way. They were Grant Carman, President; Rod Baltzer, Vice-President; Carol Brown, Secretary; and Jerry Van Norman, Treasurer. Dorothy Belger and Buck Regentin cleared the trail to the Student Council. Mrs. Cook, Mr. Russell, and Mr. Poole were our guides as we started our journey. Under the guidance of Buck Regentin, President; Rod Baltzer, Vice-President; Carol Brown, Secretary; Jerry Van Norman, Treasurer; and with Deanna Szalay and Roger Merriman on the Student Council, we took our second big step and reached the edge of our first plateau. Mrs. Cook, Mr. Russell and Mr. Poole helped us hold our ground. As Juniors we chose able leaders for an important phase of our trip. Elected were Rod Baltzer, President; Margaret Parrott, Vice-President; Bruce Roberts, Secretary; Jerry Van Norman, Treasurer; and Joan Caswell and Roger Merriman on the Student Council. Mrs. Cook, Mr. Russell, and Mr. Schaible made sure we didn’t back slide. During this year we received our class rings and produced the Junior Play, You’re Telling Me. We presented the Seniors with a Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom Enchanted Castle. For the last few steps of our climb we chose Rod Baltzer to head the party with Buck Regentin close behind. Carol Brown kept a record of events, while Jerry Van Norman took charge of our money. Roger Merriman and Dorothy Belger voiced our views on the Student Council. Mrs. Cook, Mr. Russell, Mr. Jackson, and Mr. Webster showed us to the summit. The highlights of our year were our pictures and the Senior Play, The Mouse That Roared. We are anxiously looking forward to the Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom given in our honor and our trip to Washing- ton, D. C. We have finished our climb through high school, but our journey through life has just begun, so with the knowledge of our motto we will face the future One step a time, but always forward.
