MELODY MADHOUSE Mr. and Mrs. Stanley try to solve their family problems which consists of two girls - Gladys age 17 and sister age 12 plus a teenage bomb shell - Junior and his lovable talkative Grandmother Stanley. Junior is musically inclined and his orchestra the Stanley Swingsters must practice, but Dad is dead set against Junior having an orchestra at all. Does the orchestra get to practice? Yes, it does because there is Grandmother who has ideas. But where and why and when make the plot of this comedy which also involves the rich neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Austin, the Austin twin daughters and the butler. The melodies are toe tickling when the radio man says you're on the air and the eight members of Junior's orchestra really get to play. SAUCE FOR THE GANDER Bob and Sally Kelton are a reasonably happy young married couple. Bob is the writer of Oklahoma Ike , a Wild West radio serial for children, but he aspires to bigger and better things. Sally keeps house and tries to provide the peace and quiet which Bob needs for his writing. But this is not so easy in their tiny apartment: the telephone keeps ringing, the door buzzer sounds, people come and go, the janitor almost tears down the bathroom wall searching for a leak. Bob, under the terrific strain after a year and a half of Oklahoma Ike ,| finally blows up. When Sally tells him she could write the program with one hand tied behind her back, he calls her bluff and they agree to swap jobs. Sally (Young woman of twenty-three)..................
