CLASS HISTORY September of 1956, found 68 eager Freshmen looking forward to the begin- ning of their high school careers, and many happy experiences. Shortly after school began the class held its election of officers. The officers chosen for this year were: President - Bill Buhl, Vice President - Karen Stoutenburg, Secre- tary - Barbara McFarlane, Treasurer - Bonnie Witt, and Student Council - Mar- lene Rose and Dick Tanton. The highlight of this year was our Freshman Initia- tion, which was enjoyed by all, including the sophomores who were in charge of it. During the year our class lost Terry Anderson, Arthur Morley, Kenneth Pierce, and Donald Swoffer. The first class meeting of our Sophomore year was held to elect our officers for the year. The people chosen to lead the class this year were: President - Garth Pattullo, Vice President - Audrey Pozsgay, Secretary - Karen Roberts, Treasurer - Zella Walker, and Student Council - Carol Allen and Dennis Small- wood. This year passed quickly with our two class parties held in the gym being the major highlights of the year. This year we lost Bonnie Witt from our rolls. Once more our class met to pick its officers. This year we chose: Presi- dent - Garth Pattullo, Vice President - Virginia Lee, Secretary - Karen Rob- erts, Treasurer - Zella Walker, and Student Council - Marlene Rose and Karl Shoebottom. We chose and received our class rings this year, as well as spon- sored the Senior Prom. Our theme used to decorate for this event was Lilacs in the Rain . This year we gained Jim Beyer, Sandra Gough, and Bonnie Witt, and lost Vernon Rich. Time has passed so swiftly and suddenly we realize that we are meeting to chose our class officers for the last time. This year we entrusted the leadership of our class to: President - Bob Abbott, Vice President - Karen Stoutenburg, Secretary - Karen Roberts, Treasurer - Joyce Hooper, and Student Council - Roger Stolicker and Marlene Rose. This year we lost Linda Hall, Russell Hall, Sandra Gough, James Beyer, Barbara Henry, and Anita Grice from our rolls. Many activities crowned our Senior year. Senior pictures, the banquet and prom given in our honor, and finally graduation. We realize that just as we met for the first time four years ago looking forward to the many experiences we face, we are now meeting for the last time and looking back with beautiful memories. Yes, school days are over but we all realize that Misty is the future; but our paths are brightened with knowledge.
