Junior Play Bolts and Nuts March 27, 1953 Directed by Mrs. Bostick fU, Aunt Rebecca Bolt Benita Bolt, her niece Lutie Spinks, maid Martha Grubb, cook Twink Starr, Benita s boy friend Dr. Joy Henry Goober, colored porter Phineas Plunkett Prunella Figg Cadwalleder Clippy Mrs. Gertie Glossop Wilbur Glossop, brat Dr. Gordon Jessie Mae Bowling Kathleen Harter Elsie Trigger Margie Bearss Bill Brabant Bob Detgen Tom Brady Gerald Rich June Duncan Melvin Lamont Colleen Richards Val Duncan Carol Neaves Mrs• Bolt is turning her old mansion} left to her by her dead brother, Benjamin} into a mental sanitarium. Her niece, Benita, and her maid Lutie help out. Uncle Ben has left money hidden somewhere and they are out to find it. Many queer patients come to the mansion—Mrs. Glossop and her brat Wilbur} Cadwalleder, who fears cats} Miss Figg, who has claustropho- bia} Mr. Plunkett, with his inferiority complex} mournful Martha Grubb, Uncle Ben's ex-cook} and others. With the help of Dr. Joy, psychaitrist, and Twink Starr, Benita s boy friend, Aunt Rebecca finally solves her pro- blems but only after many hair splitting and hilarious episodes. Mr. Stillman is a candidate for mayor and the play begins a few days before the election. Susan Stillman forgets her family is socially prominent and falls for Walter Brant who is an automobile mechanic. Her parents object, but Grandad helps Susan. The afternoon before Mr. Stillman's political radio speech, everything goes wrong and Walter gains entrance to the household by posing as an electrician. Father takes a liking to him and Walter helps Mr. Stillman reword the speech so it appeals to the common folk.
