CLASS HI TORY The year 1952 proved to be the big year for our group, for this was the year scheduled for our big jump into high school. We made the jump without mishap and on this all important year we selected Mrs. Clarice Hale as our sponsor and also elected the following class officers: President . ..... . . . . Shirley Doades Treasurer Sammy Fox On August 28, 1953 we became smiling Sophomores of the Decker Chapel School, On the second week of school the class sponsors were chosen and we selected Mr. Chester LaMar. Wayne Thompson Miss Shirley Doades was elected Basketball Queen for 1953-54. Beginning our Junior year of school we had twelve students in our class. By the end of the first semester we lost Jon Kelly, Darrell Morgan, and Richard Doades. We received our class rings this year. Our officers were as follows: President ..... . . . Bernice Anthis As the dignified Seniors entered their last year of school only six students were left. They were Bernice Anthis, Linda Anthis, Grace Doades, Nancy Esarey, Bob Snider, and Kenneth Leffler. For a class party we went on a wiener roast and invited the high school teachers. The seniors and juniors are planning a trip to St. Augustine, Florida this year. We sponsored a musical show this year and made scrap iron drives and paper drives to make money to finance our trip.
