They were as follows: president, John Cowan; vice-president, Stu Knodel; secretary, Taya Erekson; and treasurer, Tom Grabill. We also elected Mr. Jom ' nay as our class sponsor. Three freshmen were represented in the Student Council. They were Grace Kelsey, John Patterson, and John Cowan. The freshman class got a big kick sponsoring the dance The Beehive Bounce after one of the basketball games. Two freshmen girls— Sidney Beery and Taya Erekson— were elected as cheerleaders for the second team. Several Latin I students received certificates of excellence on their tests. The freshman basketball team won seven and lost nine of their games under coach Mr. F. Reed. 28
