,SZIQAOMQOFQ 64155 Sept. 2. Dear Diary, 83 studious new sophomores trudged up the steps of D.H.S. to begin a new year. Sept. 29. Dear Diary, since no class can function without officers, we elected Dan Krueckeberg, presi- dent, Dan Cowans, vice-president, Carolyn Aumann, secretary, Judy Keller, treasurer, and our new book- keeping teacher, Mr. Cobb, as sponsor. Oct. 6. Dear Diary, the student council is in operation again this year and Phil DeBolt, Marlene Thieme, and Dan Krueckeberg are our delegates. Oct. 12. Dear Diary, tonight we sponsored a dance called the Var- sity Drag. Nov. 12. Dear Diary, the school elected three sophomores as cheer- leaders for the second team. They are Judy Locke, Luanne Lehman, and Judy Keller. Jan. 4. Dear Diary, Marlene Thieme, Shirley Wass, Mildred Grote, Jeanenne Schultz, and Marlene Del- linger had parts in the Christmas pro- gram. Jan. 30. Dear Diary, The Snow- man Scurry was the name of our second dance which we sponsored tonight. May 15. Dear Diary, eight boys and eight girls had a very enjoyable time serving at the Prom. May 28. Dear Diary, during the 1953-54 school year the sophomore class averaged 11 students on the honor roll each six weeks. D.
