However, all the Staff heartily agree that the assistance of Miss Worthman, Staff Advisor and director of the af- fairs of business, Mr. Smith, director of photog- raphy, Mr. Hetrick, typing director, and Miss Weidler, proofreader, were invaluable. We of the Staff hope the splotlight has given you a clearer picture of D. H. S. and that its beam may never fade from your memory.

r Commercial Club , . Again this year, the Commercial Club met for its twenty-fourth year of organization. The first thing ac- complished was the election of officers. Those elected were Mary Alice Bein- eke, president; Bill Whittredge, vice president; Wanda Busse, secretary; and Lois Chronister, treasurer. Some of the activities for the year included the publishing of the gossip column, better known as the Gab- Fest. Those in charge of presenting this little tidbit were Mary Lou Robin- son, editor-in-chief; Ted Hill and Phil Thomas, assistant editors. Also the sponsoring of a chapel program, fea- turing Jesse Phillips Robertson and his Song Hits of 1945, B. C, was an enjoyable feature of the j ear. Then too, one of the nicest activities which the Commercial Club with the aid of the Glee Club presented was the semi- formal dance held March 22, in the auditorium. The music was furnish- ed by Woody Neff ' s orchestra frcrn Fort Wayne. This eventful and prosperous year was further made possible by the club ' s sponsors, Mr. Hetrick and Mr. Millikan, who so capably guided our ways in the business world. Busy. Girls?
