The senior's big year really began at the end of their junior year when they received their gold and blue senior rings. Before they knew it they were in the midst of the busiest and most exciting year they had ever experienced. The first class meeting was held to start on plans for money-making projects and graduation details. Co- operation was the by-word as the girls sold charm brace- lets, and everyone chipped in to help with the Senior Fashion Show and ticket sales for the senior movie. At Stunt Night the class received a second place tie for its original cave-man spectacle. After spring holidays time flew until Graduation Night. As the processional was played, the class realized that it was breaking up-an important phase of life was over. The boys and girls said good-bye to the school which had been their second home for hve years. In parting they gave the wish that all future classes at Decatur High may have a year as hlled with enrichment and pleasure as the class of '54. Class mascots. Sally Williams and Knox Dobbins added so much tolhe May Night and Class Night activities.
