He joined the Navy in March 1978, and graduated Electrician ' s Mate A School in September 1978. His previous duty assignments include Navy Nuclear Power School; USS CHICAGO (CG 11); USS CIMARRON (AO 177); Naval Training Center, Great Lakes; Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit One, Barbers Point; USS COWPENS (CG 63); and most recently. The United States Navy ' s Senior Enlisted Academy (Staff). Master Chief Quayle is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas. His personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star. Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars. Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy E Ribbon with cluster. Navy Good Conduct Medal with three bronze stars. National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Sea Service Ribbon with Silver star. Coast Guard Special Operation Ribbon and the Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait).
