Though we played musical barbers for a while, the quality of each haircut was always good. After a half-hour wait in line for some cigarettes or other important item, it was always reassuring to hear those familiar words, Sorry, sold out! The ship's store contributes its profits to the Welfare and Recreation fund to support things like our ship's parties and gear locker. SH2 Chaney LAUNDRY Suffering the sometimes not so playful abuse and harassment of the rest of us for missing buttons or unpressed whites, the laundrymen labored round the clock to get us our nice clean liberty uniforms and the rest of our clothes.
