Our basketball team this year has played many a thrilling game, winning by two points and losing by one. The Hawks brought the Center Grove Sectional Championship home to us for the first time since l94l. This also was the first year Decatur took the mid-state championship alone. Senior members of the team are: Mike Thomas, Larry Henderson, Kenny Knopf, Tom Avery, Larry Rink, Dave Gillespie, Danny Kugelman and Steve Aldridge. The l957-58 team was coached by Marvin Armstrong.
