This goal is achieved X If ' t xi K ll only by concentrated study under the able faculty devoted to directing young lives. X y ll Realizing that life holds the light as well as the serious moments, we train ourselves 1 Xvff t J to be well adjusted citizens in this modern society of ours, by participating in the many il tt X 1-A extra curricular activities here at Decatur. i lf Y! To be good losers as well as winners is tau ht on the football and baseball fields, J X N Q l X basketball court, wrestling mats and track, Parties during the four years are culminated I with the annual junior-senior prom attended by upper classmen only. l The one goal of every freshman as he enters these halls in September is to hold in his hand four years later the coveted diploma signifying that he has succeeded in these goals. Now he is ready to put to use these many lessons he has learned. And so we, the staff of the l958 Hawkeye, give you a pictorial composite of the life of the students here at Decatur.
