'1 1 - 'T' DECATUR BAND The Decatur Band really is two organiza- tions in one. Both are directed by Mr, Dale Jackson. ln the fall, the band is seen as the Marching Hawks which provides half-time pageantry for all the football games. They also participate in many parades during the year. The Decatur Concert Band performs repre- sentative band literature at two annual concerts. Color At D.C.H.S. A first at Decatur this year was a Band Major, Jack Butler. Jack led the Maiorettes in many spectacular shows during the season. The Majorettes are a twirling corps who participate in all the activities with the Marching Hawks, They also demonstrate precision drill routines at some of the home basketball games.
