Each tall initiates are taken into the club at an impressive candlelight ceremony where they pledge to give of themselves. Decatur girls attend two conventions during the year. The district convention is held each tall with the state convention meeting in the spring. During the year a substantial donation is made to the Riley Fund. These donations are given to the Riley Children's Hospital here in Indianapolis. Each spring the girls reveal their identities to the women they've chosen as their Ideal Lady tor the year. The organization is sponsored by Mrs. Betty Baker and Mrs. Betty Van Campen.

D-CLUB Eligibility for Decatur's D-Club is to possess a minor or major letter in any sport. The purpose of the club is to keep the athletes together in a mutual interest other than in their individual sports. A pin is given in the senior year to those who have maintained a major letter every year in a given sport. The organization, under the sponsorship of Coach Marvin Armstrong, meets once a month. They sponsored a booth at the Athletic Carnival last fall. A sock hop also was under their sponsorship.
