Junior High Safety Patrol This year's captain was Gary Bloom, a junior. Margaret Duvall was the only senior in the patrol. She served as the secretary and treasurer for three years. Mr. McCory has been the sponsor of the organization for the past several years. He has done a wonderful job of re-organizing the group and making it a very successful safety patrol. Edward Bryan and Margaret Duvall represented Decatur Central at the first state wide Teen-Age Driver's Safety Conference, at Tech High School in January. Each summer the Lion's Club sponsors a township fair at the school. At that time the members exhibit their finished products for which they receive township ribbons. The fair is always enjoyed by everyone. Mrs. Baker heads the girls' clubs. She is assisted by several adult leaders and junior leaders. Mr. Adamson heads the boys' clubs. He is assisted by several former 4-H members who now farm in our community. The junior leaders attend county meetings at the Purdue Marrott Center in Indianapolis. The meetings are held monthly and there is fun for all. We certainly are proud of our 4-H clubs here at Decatur Township.
