Senior High Safetg Patrol The members of the safety patrol have certainly been a help this year to the student body. There are several boys who served as parking directors for our football and basketball games. Other members served as bus captains for the bus drivers. Each year the patrol sponsors a roller skating patry, which is always en- joyed by all the members. Also, the members take a field trip to an interesting place in Indiana. In past years, they have made trips to the Boys' School at Plainfield, The Masonic Home at Franklin, and several other places of notable importance. It is a fund which helps buy equipment for the Riley Hospital for Children at Indianapolis. The society has shown films, sponsored dances and a talent show in the past few years to raise the needed money. Decatur Central always makes one of the largest contributions.

Junior High Safety Patrol This year's captain was Gary Bloom, a junior. Margaret Duvall was the only senior in the patrol. She served as the secretary and treasurer for three years. Mr. McCory has been the sponsor of the organization for the past several years. He has done a wonderful job of re-organizing the group and making it a very successful safety patrol. Edward Bryan and Margaret Duvall represented Decatur Central at the first state wide Teen-Age Driver's Safety Conference, at Tech High School in January. They learned many things that will help our student drivers of the future to become better drivers. Fin!
