In November, a committee headed by Sue Schutte made and distributed several baskets of fruit to elderly and invalid people. This act was deeply appreciated as indicated by the several thank-you letters we received. Each summer, the officers-elect are sent to camp Tecum- seh at Delphi, Indiana.

Pictures, Words, Work Make A Hawkeye K Mr. Whitaker, our advisor, seems pleased with the prog- ress shown as group pictures are taken. The Hawkeye Staff was chosen by the senior class. Under the capable leadership of co-editors, Janet Eller and Margaret Duvall, the annual was planned with a progress theme. They were assisted by Mary Ann Edwards, Deloris Dunn, Jean Davis, and Sue Schutte. The financial work was efficient- ly completed by business managers, Edward Bryan and Larry Kugelman. In addition to the advertis- ing, money was raised by a school dance. Mr. Whitaker was the advisor. Janet and Margaret were sent to the High School journalism Institute in July to learn the make-up on a good yearbook. They believe they brought back some very new ideas. The staff sincerely hopes that you enjoy the 56 Hawkeye.
