MaybeZlene Mr. and Mrs. Rankin led the parade of floats driving Mick Smith's car. Coach Byfield Crowned Joann Purdue as Queen while her attendants: Janice Mudd, Jackie Miller, Carolyn Burnside and Reba Smith looked on. The G.A.A. came out with the theme of Greenwood over the fallrf' Marsha Miller and Judy Demmery are on the float. Old King Cole had several loyal subjects from Greenwood. Ed Bryan represented the king for Hi- Y and Sunshine Society. Homecoming - A Homecoming was held October 14. A dinner was served by the wrestlers in the cafe- teria. Before the game, the floats were presen- ted and the band led them in. At the half, the band paraded and the queen was crowned . It was also announced that the senior class float had won first place. The seniors really made an impressive sight. Seven cars, with letters on them, spell- ing out SENIOR led the float onto the field. On them were seven senior girls: Margaret Duvall, Barbara Dillon, Lois Paddock, Linda Wfilliams, Deloris Dunn, Jean Davis, and Pat Price representing bridesmaids. The team came through by winning the game 12 to 0. A dance was held after the game sponsor- ed by the G. A. A. The High School Dance Band provided the music. It was a night to be remembered for a long time by all the students of D. C. H. S. I0
