THE SERVERS Knights Of The Blessed Sacrament Every year we find among the Senior class, some of our members serving the priest at the altar. This year four of these noble youths are among the grad- uating class. It is a great privilege to minister at the altar of God, for even the angels are deprived of this active service. The class of '35 is justly proud of this splendid record of service and Wishes to offer its congratulations to these young men. all made of faith and service llI'l-Til Ll-1F'1'-.lL'I,lAN I'.Xlll'IN'l' at tg S P1511 l!IL'lI'l'-.IAMEU L1 HH . 1 WEN Llflr 1',1111Y'lIATlll ELM.-KN All adoration, duty, and observance 1 WEI: IIIGHT-l3L'Y TES'l'Ell All huimbleness, all patience, All purity, all trial, all observance

CLASS PROPHECY - Dcnouenient And now I will unclasp a secret book, And to your quick-conceiving discontents, I'll read you matter deep and dangerous. This is an account of the reunion of the Class of '35 held in 1964, the occasion of the fourth centenary of the birth of Shakespeare, as it ap- peared in the Decatur Daily Demo- crat, issue of April 23, 1964. James Lose, head pancake flippcr at one of the best downtown restau- rants, and Guy Tester, chemist at the Decatur plant of the Central Sugar Company, first planned in 1962 to have a reunion of the Class of '35. Then came the task of locating the members of the class. After two years of searching, James and Guy rounded up their old classmates from every part of the globe. Dick Ulman was called from New Zealand where he was planning a second trip to the South Pole. Al Rumschlag was found playing the part of a stock raiser on a West- ern ranch. Dick Hess was called away from his duties as president of the Amal- gamated Toothpick Processing Com- pany of America, Incorporated. Julian Parent, a famous slugging outfielder of the Cubs, stopped off for a day en route to the third game of a crucial series with the Giants, Dutch Baker drove down from Fort Wayne where he was coaching the South Side Archers. Rosey Miller took a vacation from her position as an English teacher at Columbia University. Justine Spangler came from Boise. She is a famous lady politi- cian and is now governor of Idaho. 27 Bob Colchin drove up in a fine. egg-shaped, three-wheeled auto. He is on the staff of surgeons at the Charity Hospital in Philadelphia. His brother Ced slipped away from his undertaking establishment near the same hospital and came a- long with Bob. Bill Borns came all the way from his hermitage in S o u t h America where he was studying the ancient civilization of the Incas. Cecilia Noonan is the first Post- mistress General. She camo all the way .from Washington to be at the reunion. Ruth Voglewede came from Par- is,where she is head model at Chan- e s. Donna Ripberger had to hurry a- way early in afternoon. Being a fa- mous radio star, she had to keep an appointment in the evening at Cin- cinnati. Eddie Ehinger drove down from Chicago where he is head demon- strator at the Beauty Rest Mattress Company. What a glorious day they spcnt together! How tongues wagged in discussion of the old days at Deca- tur Catholic High School and the present status of their former class- mates! Do you remember - - Y followed Yes, and remember the time when - - ? until the shad- ows of evening drew a final curtain on thc last act of the Class of '35. Happily the denouement of our dra- ma, High School Years , did not contain a record of a catastrophe.
