Farewell To those who have committed their time and souls to our school, may it always be said that you never gave up hope. May it always be said that you never gave up at something after only one try. May it always be said that you were the ones who gave your heart to a project, never giving up until success was in sight. To those who saw our school lose in many areas but never gave up hope for future wins, to those who have passed through our most trying experiences but never gave up faith, you are the ones we will always remember. Some of you may not have filled all of your high school dreams, while others of you may have surpassed your expectations. 'To all of you we ask that you never give up hope, for it you try, and in failure try again, you will achieve goals beyond your dreams. Some of you may go on to college, leaving Death Valley High School behind you. Others may prefer to remain here where you have spent many years, but only you can make that decision and you will be responsible for it, so those of us who remain in school hope you make a wise one. Through the trying times of being adults, keep in mind that school was the place you did your major learning, if not through teachers or books, through living with and helping your friends. When you leave school, look back at all the good things it has offered you. Walk away happy, walk away proud. Whenever you get an impulse to put down our school, put it down only in your scrapbooks and your memories, for only you are to blame for any shortcomings you feel we have, just as you are respon sible for the many good things you are leaving behind. Your school is like an old freind, but like everything an life it must come to an end. Come back and visit, for it is a part of you forever. When you take your last walk through the campus and take a glance, think of just how lucky, proud, and honored you were to attend our school. ' ' The Editor 44
