Wrestling Wrestling is a contest of balance, endurance, and strength. The capable Mr. Ed Lanzi coaches and directs the team. Each week the team rotates captains according to individual performances in the previous meet and practices. This year ' s squad com- pleted a prosperous season with a 11-2 duel meet record and a second place in the Huron Rouge League. The Pioneer Wrestling Team of 1962- 63 has had many fine individual achievements which DHS mat enthu- siasts will not forget. Hope: Next Year a Varsity Berth Reserve Basketball The Reserves, under the direction of Coach Jim Gamboe are learning, practic- ing, and improving upon the fundamentals of basketball. The Junior Varsity plays a complete fifteen game schedule, and each player attains valuable experience. The skills and knov ledge gained this season will provide every player with the qualifications to win a varsity position next year. John Leiphart churns the water fervently during the backstroke event. The performances of Co-Captain Jay Osrowske paced the Dearborn High Tankers ' attack during the season. The team practiced seriously throughout the year and finished third in league competition.
