Seniors; As you go forth with fresh dreams to serve mankind, some lines from Robert Burns seem appropriate. In the poem entitled, Written In Friars-Carse Hermitage, on Nith Side, he wrote: Life is but a day at most, Sprung from night, in darkness lost. Hope not sunshine ev ' ry hour, Fear not clouds will always lour. As Youth and Love, with sprightly dance. Beneath thy morning star advance. Pleasure with her syrene air May delude the thoughtless pair; Let Prudence bless Enjoyment ' s cup. Then raptur ' d sip, and sip it up. No more eloquently can you be advised: the real pleasures and enjoyments of life can be yours. Don ' t trade them off for sho rt term self-indulgence. You have been an excellent class.
