, if rc., Coach Herb Schroeter, in his first year as DHS cross ra, A- f- country coach, led the team to its most successful record in recent years, by winning all ten regular season meets, placing first in the Huron-Rouge Valley League Meet, tying for first place in the Regional Meet and finishing 13th in the State Cross Country Meet. The Pioneers ended the season in undisputed posses- sion of the rank of best team in the H-RVI.. 'lihey earned this rank hy defeating all league teams in season meets and by winning the League cross country nreet. Ron Mensacsk '58 and 'l'om Lynch '58 were eoaeaptains of this year's squad.
