Our Principal, Who Leads And Inspires Us Mr. Olsen Mr. Olsen Hrst decided to become a teacher after attend- ing Central Michigan Teachers College for two years. He earn- ed his A.B. there, and then con- tinued his studies at the Un- iversity of Wisconsin. He re- ceived his M.A, at the Univer- sity, having majored in school administration, After teaching for one year, Mr. Olsen received a principal- ship at Carson City. He later transfered to Reed City where he was also a teaching princi- pal. He served in this position for two years and was appoint- ed the city'5 superintendent of schools. He remained at this post for nine years and in 1936, accepted the office of Dearborn High School principal. Having worked on the school planning committee as chairman, Mr. Olsen will transfer to the new Northwest high school when it ig completed. Mr. Olsen's hobbies are mak- ing jewelry, and playing chess.
