HQE CLASS GF 194 PERSON might compare the sophomores with precocious children because of their cleverness and capability. They seem to have blossomed forth with limitless talent. Bolstering Tex,' Walker's baseball teams are Bill Robbins, whois practically a walking dic- tionary on sportsg Don Rossg Otto Kossuth, a starring pitcherg and Don Huebnerg while foot- ballers Werner Weis, Bill Knoop, Tom Ed- wards and Bill Gregory play for Coaches Rabe and Anderson. Earning their track letters were Clarence f'Bud', Smith, Dick Henson, and Wayne Timm. Last, but not least, Tommy Wil- lemstein was awarded a D for managing the basketball champs. Representing the Finer Arts are Helen Mitchell, who is remembered for her piano rendition of Star Dust , Dolores Rivard, a versatile painterg and Dick Hall. who has advertised many activi- ties with his posters. Club-minded are Loretta Baron, Junior Girl Re- serve prexy g Wayne Timm, Sharon Murphy, Jack Boyd, Tom Fidge, Dick Welkenbach, and Clara Davis, who are Senators on the Student Councilg Jeanne Walters and Lee Beard, ACUV1' ty Board members. Seen everywhere at any time are Allen Baugh- man, behind the wheel of his fire-red automo- bile g the Mutt and Jeff team, George Gil- fillan and Albert Bifanog and of course, nobody misses a cheer for the team when Helen Mac- Pherson and Lois Fehlig are doing the leading. These are but a few of the social celebs that belong to the class. The School Board has seriously considered pay- ing Clyde McGuffie for the valuable things he's been teaching his teachers. Also, a vote of appre- ciation is due Paul Guimaraes who keeps the school well supplied with photos. The class's feature activity for the year was Blue Rain Rhythm, a skirt and sweather dance, which was presented under the guiding hand of Mr. Reincke, their class sponsor.
