There were about a hundred entries in the contest. Second honors went to Douglas Wright, and honorable mention to 13 others. Plans were made to publish the entire song in sheet music form, with a cover design by Delores Wilson. Seniors sponsored the sale of the music, proceeds of which went to the senior fund. The complete song appears on page 31.
