MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Playing the baby in The Faith of her Sister. Dick went with his roommate, Chet, to join the serv- ice. Dick's quick wit and gentle manner kept the third floor rolling. We won't be surprised if when someday we turn on our television and gee a tall lanky comedian, in- troduced as Dick Bell. Keep 'em flying and laughing. WILLIAM RAINES BELLOFATTO Will Milford, Mass. COLLEGE: Tufts AMBITION: Orlhodonist ACTIVITIES: Too modest. FAVORITE MEMORY: Snack Bar. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Hunting and Fishinq. Will, with his pleasant manner and character, has always been noted as one good chap. His happy-go-lucky wayl keeps him in the best of humor. Good luck to you llwi 1.77 CHARLES FREDERICK BOWSE Charlie West Concord, Mass. COLLEGE: Si. Bonaventure AMBITION To play college football ACTIVITIES: Football, Waiter. FAVORITE MEMORY: Home. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Finishing school. Although Charlie does not have much to say, his antics have kept all laughing. Keep laughing, Charlie, we all know that the best will always follow you. ROBERT DONALD COSTA Bob Milford, Mass. COLLEGE: Undecided AMBITION: Contractor ACTIVITIES: Megaphone, Blue Spruce. FAVORITE MEMORY: Barbara. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Staying a civilian. Some of the boys have a difficult time understanding Bob sometime because the magnitude of his vocabulary somewhat surprised us. However, as the year progressed, Bob had very little trouble in gaining many hard and fast friends. We all are caught in his web of friendliness and will be sorry to see him leave at the end of the year. We give you our most for your success, Bob, IOHN I-IORWITZ Johnny Brookline, Mass. COLLEGE: Undecided AMBITION: Business ACTIVITIES: Football, Basketball, Waiter. FAVORITE MEMORY: Home. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Beinq a success. Johnny is another one of the boys who left us at the mid-year. As far as we know now he is down in Florida enjoying himself. While he was at Dean, Johnny won many with his friendliness. Spencer, Mass. CHESTER F. SWENSON Chet Warwick, R. I. COLLEGE: Brown AMBITION: Contractor ACTIVITIES: Men's Student Government, Drctmatics. FAVORITE MEMORY: Old Christmas Dinner. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Passing physics. Although duty called early in the year, Chet left his mark on Dean. Chet was very conscientious with his studies and won the confidence of many. He was very active on the Men's Student Government. He also had a wonderful Sense of humor and we got many a laugh from Chet. Best wishes for a successful future. CLAYTON O. ADAMS Zeke Nineteen Fifty-one COLLEGE: Undecided AMBITION: To be a millionaire ACTIVITIES: Football, Basketball, Track, Baseball, Choir. FAVORITE MEMORY: Weekends. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Peelinq potatoes. K'Zeke, the only person to have three different jobs in one year, finally ended up peeling potatoes. Zeke was a real asset to the basketball team. His pleasant na- ture and big heart made many friends for him here at Dean and will take him a long way in this World. Good luck in whatever you do. BETTY ANN CERCONE B, A. Walpole, Mass. COLLEGE: Lowell Textile Institute AMBITION: Chemist FAVORITE MEMORY: Christmas Dance. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Getting to school on time. One of the more mature serious members of our class is Betty. While day-hopping she has become a famil- iar figure in the dorms and at Rec Hall. Her pleasing per- sonality, sense of humor, good looks and ambition will carry her far in her career and win her many friends. Good luck and happiness to you, B. A. History. Mary, another four year Deanite, is rather quiet but with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. She can usually be seen dashing about the campus in that slick converti- ble. IOHN LEROY John Braintree, Mass. COLLEGE: Springfield AMBITION: Business ACTIVITIES: Football. FAVORITE MEMORY: Football practice. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Remaining the way I am. John was one of our co-captains on the gridiron this past fall. After proving himself on the field and scholasti- cally, John left Dean to re-join the Marines. However, feeling that the Marines did not need him Cyetj John decided to start the second semester at Springfield Col- lege. We all miss John's happy-go-lucky manner and know that he will be a success in the future. THORNTON LEWIS LYNAM, IR. Thorn Dartmouth, Mass. COLLEGE: Princeton AMBITION: Rubber and plastic chemist FAVORITE MEMORY: Snack Bar. ACTIVITIES: Dramatic Club. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: The mastering of chemistry. Thorn brought to Dean with him a vast knowledge of baseball. His advice and stories kept the boys happy and up-to-date in baseball. Thorn has a good start to the making of a big league manager. Someday when you pick up your paper, don't be surprised to see Thorn's name under the heading of Manager of the Year. Good luck in whatev W. RUSSELL MURRAY, IR. Russ Amesbury, Mass. COLLEGE: University of New Hampshire AMBITION: Professional baseball player ACTIVITIES: Baseball. FAVORITE MEMORY: Week-ends. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Passing Spanish. Russ was probably the first person the new students became acquainted with. Russ had that trait that enabled him to make friends very easily. Everybody was Russis friend and our best wishes go with him when he goes to the Cardinal baseball camp. COLLEGE: Georg er vocation you follow. PAUL V. MCCORMICK HMHCN Syracuse, N. Y. e Washington AMBITION: Foreign Service ACTIVITIES: Football, Basketball. FAVORITE MEMORY: Meeting Chuck. MOST SUCCESSF Mac left UL ENDEAVOR: Making the Dean's List. Dean at the end of the first semester to attend George Washington. George Washington got a good football player when they accepted Mae Mac was everybody's friend at Dean. He was a dead-eye with a water pistol which was displayed in the inter-floor water fight. We know with his wonderful personality and good natured ways he will be a success at college. We will look for you on the gridiron next year. IAMES EDWARD POOLE Jim Sudbury, Mass. COLLEGE: University oi Vermont AMBITION: Engineer ACTIVITIES: Baseball. FAVORITE MEMORY: Snack Bar. MOST SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR: Algebra. Jim is a tall, lanky chap who intends to further his education at the University of Vermont after leaving Dean.
