Eddie Essman, Roland Garrison, Dewey Geistlinger, Shirley Hahn, louise Henke, Yarcella Hobelman, Qoger lewien, Iowell Rahe, Janice Ramaekers, JoAnn Cchmale, IeQoy Schmidt, Willard Niese, Wilma Wiese, and Donald Nollenburg from Dewitt Grade School. Allen Buss, malter Neuman, Floyd Schuerman, Norbert Schuerman, Clenn Sobotka, and Dean Zimmerman jolned us from the rural schools Floyd was with us only part of the first semester On 'eptember 17, the freshies came to school with quite unusual costumes The boys were wearing a bonnet, a girls blou e, gym o SW1NH1H9 trunks, jewelry, make up, nail polish four buckle overshoes, and their hair was braired down on their forehead and tied with a green ribbon They also push ed doll buggies The girls were dressed in an un ironed dress two inches above the knees, one long stocking with a low heeled shoe, and one stocking rolled dovn with a hieh heeled shoe, fancy garters, their ha1r in twelve braids with different colored ribbons, no make up, and carrvina a hammer e were told to so up and down stairs backwards Wlthout shoes and also 'ow to the seniors nt 5 l5 the same afternoon we were oblipated to do dif ferent tasks whlch were requlred by the senlors At 7 50 partv was elven in our honor X ext came the electlon of offic rs and choosing of a sponsor for our class The results were Qoonsor lr aler Oecretary Tanice Qamsekers Tresident Dewey Ceistling r Treasurer louise Fenke Vi e President leQoy chmidt stu oouncil Allen Bus All of the freshman boys belong to F U A The freshman won the magazlne contest w1th a total sale of 496 90 Our runner up was the juniors e freshman are lOOK1U9 forward to our next three years MEN 1n higd school f . .
