Engebretson RIVER LOG STAFF The River Log Staff of 1964-65 consisted of a group of students and two advisors who worked and worried to bring you an annual summarizing this year at De Soto High School. The job consisted of taking pictures, planning and managing pages, typing copy, matching faces with names, and meeting ever-present deadlines. We were fortunate this year to have a responsible and capable editor, who with the help and cooperation from the staff, made this annual possible. The De Soto Chapter 01907 of the Future Scientists of America can boast of a membership of thirty-five students and a very devoted group of officers. Some of the important purposes of the organization is to learn about scienceg science careersg and the opportunities, responsibilities, and the important role science plays in our de- mocracy. The organization has enjoyed several activities, such as a visit to the science facilities of the Univer- sity of Wisconsin at La Crosse and an interesting nature study hike.
