Saturday - 29 August 1964 0800 0930 1400 1900 Contacted the FAA, Coast Guard and conservation officials about helicopter flights and UDT demos, Taped a 15-minute interview at WOSC radio and arranged for a taped show on the DeSoto County Tuesday at 10 a, ml Met with the News Director of WNYS-TV, Syracuse., Placed a news story and arranged for film coverage aboard the ship. Also placed 10-second spots. Met with the DeSoto County Visit Committee, consisting of the local Marine recruiter and NRTC commander, officers of the Marine Corps League and the commander of the local American Legion.
