Queen of .Jigarb 267 7 Cpupicfd Edffd by Dot Teasley l found six little arrows that had landed in the hall They were shot from Cupid's bow and were intended there to fail, He h':dn't aimed at some lonely hetarts and by mistake did miss- But he meant these special ones to land in good 'ol DHS! The arrows bore tiny little hearts on which I found some little rhymes Each in substance saying: Won't you be our Valentines? The first was to a petite brunette and a handsome athlete ln beauty and brawn they each excell and simply can't be beat, CCharlotte Merideth - Buddy Benscnl The second heart was pierced deep by Dan Cupid, the age-old sprite, To this young lad and lass we say: We love you with all our might! CDot Graves - Iames Hubbardl Hoses are red and violets are blue: this third heart says so. Sugar is sweet, another line says, and so are Ian and loe. Clanel Taggart - Toe Sheltonl A sweeter surprise couldn't ever be found in a sweetheart's box of candy Then these two deors whom we think are mighty dandy! CMartha Proctor - Quentious Crewsl Last but not least is the comely pair The boys is so tall, the girl so fair Everyone can see lovelight in all that they do For each has a lover to whom he is true. CRita Banks - Lynn TaggartD Attached to the last arrow was a very lacy, little heart And when l read the inscription it gave me quite a start. It's lucky that I found it and hid it right away- Because it bore a secret that's to be revealed today. Dynamite comes in small packages and so does beauty, too, Our little Oueen will prove this in anything she'll try to do. Upon the head of a handsome lad we place another royal crown. If you searched all over DHS a nobler pair could not be found. Now the six little arrows have all been claimed, Cause Cupid took up his bow and at each he carefully aimed And in the hearts of every student they brought a pleasant ache As they told us which royal court to take. Now after proudly presenting them to you we have one thing more to say, Cupid thinks you've done a good job and to all, A happy Valentines Dayl They QWayne, Douglas, and Lael said it with orchids to Delores, Rita and Sue. ,Ji 'al!l'l ,-ans-lffi Q y-wx CX I First Row: Teasley, Birae, Murphy, Graves Creject- fd D, McCauley Qwaoery Pearson Cbelavedl Coach Duqal, England, Serrnnd RCW: Sunkel, Huffman, Haier, Banks, Garrison, Wolf, Sullivan, Stuart, Mor frvri, Peek, Whitley, Young.
